Genetics of Bacterial Population in Infectious Processes in Plants

Credits: 4

Responsible: PhD. Helvecio Della Coletta-Filho

Summary: Basic concepts of bacterial population genetics and potential driving forces modelling genetic diversity and evolution. Discussions about sampling for the construction of working populations according to the hypotheses to be tested are also within the scope of this subject. Molecular biology techniques, specifically those based on PCR, are approached but only for the purpose of review. Computer programs specific to the analysis of population genetics and genetic diversity indices are presented and discussed.
