Biography

Agricultural Engineer (2003), PhD in Genetics and Plant Breeding (2009) and postdoctoral fellow at ESALQ / USP (2009-2014), with research activities in the field of Genetics-Statistics. Since 2014 he is a professor at the Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Centro de Ciências Agrárias, Dept Biotecnologia e Produção Vegetal e Animal, Campus Araras, working in the areas of Plant Genetic Improvement (especially sugarcane breeding), Genetics-Statistics (linkage maps, QTLs, GWAS, GWS mapping), experimental data analysis (mixed models). Current research is related to the interaction between genotypes and the environment, high yield phenotyping using UAVs/drones and phytotechnics applied to sugarcane. He is currently coordinator of the undergraduate course in Biotechnology.
